The most positive thing to come out of Cheryl Cole’s right bum of a week is the fact that she’s found out who her true friends are.

As Cheryl knows only too well, when you have a high-profile job which is tough and relentless in terms of the stress and emotion spent, and time it robs you of, it’s hard keeping in touch with husbands – let alone friends.

So it was heartwarming to see that her Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts (right) dropped everything to go and comfort their colleague and true mate the day after she arrived back from America and holed herself up in her broken marital home.

When you’re emotionally wrecked and playing the details over and over in your head, trying to make sense of it all, trying to squeeze some hope out of a hopeless situation, there’s nothing like your girlfriends.

Sure, Cheryl’s mum Joan is a tower of strength, as is the rest of her close, downto-earth family, but they’ll naturally side with Cheryl.

So, we were about to go home and rustle up a top of the range microwave meal when news reached us that Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts have just turned up at Cheryl Cole’s house. Aww! Doesn’t that just make you feel all warm inside? It’s nice to realise you’re human sometimes.

We love the fact that the three least annoying members of Girls Aloud are genuine BFFs IRL (that’s “best friends forever in real life”, for our older readers) and we love the fact that, even though Cheryl has apparently been acting all “I vant to be alone” like some kind of geordie Greta Garbo, those nice no-nonsense girls have marched right on over there (alright, been chauffeur-driven right on over there, more likely) to give Cheryl advice/hugs/wine in her time of need.

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh likes the way she looks and is happy with her curvy figure.

The Girls Aloud singer is often held up as an example of a ‘curvy girl’ but claims not to mind because she’s happy with her appearance.

The singer revealed to Britain’s OK! magazine: “When it’s all like ‘curvy Kimberley‘ it could go either way, you could start thinking, are they saying fat? But luckily I’m glad I look the way I do.

“I’ve always been like that so it’s not exactly a surprise to me!”

But the 28-year-old beauty does admit having to keep an eye on what she eats in order to keep her sexy curves in check.

She confessed: “If I’m keeping an eye on things I’ll have cereal for breakfast, a salad for lunch with chicken or tuna, and then at night something like fish and broccoli – no carbs.

“I also have a friend who trains me, otherwise I wouldn’t do it. I used to go to a gym but people would come up when I was running and I’d be like, ‘I can’t physically speak at the moment.’ ”
