Girls Aloud to Cheryl: Ditch him
February 16, 2010     Posted in: Cheryl Cole, Girls Aloud, Kimberley Walsh     By: Kirsty     Comments (0)

ANGRY Cheryl has been urged to ditch Ashley by her Girls Aloud “sisters” AND her mum.

They reckon the crocked soccer star is holding her back and doesn’t deserve her.

They spoke out after it emerged that naked snaps of Ashley, 29, ended up on a glamour girl’s phone.

Sarah Harding, 28, was said to be “furious” while fellow bandmates Nadine Coyle, 24, Kimberley Walsh, 28, and Nicola Roberts, 24, said Ashley “didn’t deserve” the X Factor beauty. Read full article.

Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh is not happy with Nadine Coyle
February 12, 2010     Posted in: Cheryl Cole, Girls Aloud, Kimberley Walsh     By: Kirsty     Comments (0)

OH DEAR, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh does not seem happy with fellow bandmate Nadine Coyle.
Singer Kimberley Walsh made a subtle dig at bandmate Nadine Coyle by blaming her for holding up the release of the next Girls Aloud album.

Kimberley Walsh is presently trying to get the group – which also includes Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts – back together to start work on a new, more mature LP, but Nadine is in Los Angeles working on the release of her solo album.

Kimberley, 28, said: “I miss the girls. The plan is… Well, basically, Nadine needs to come over from Los Angeles. We need to chat and book it in because there are five people’s diaries to work around, rather than just one.”

Nadine has been working with Robbie Williams’ former songwriting partner Guy Chambers on her record, as well as writing songs for the album herself.

Nadine recently said: “I’ve been writing my own songs and I’m hoping to release it in the spring. I wrote nearly all the songs myself. It’s quite embarrassing when you start songwriting because you are opening yourself up, I think people are going to like the album though.”

Kimberley also played down rumours Girls Aloud – who are currently on a year hiatus – could split permanently now Nadine and Cheryl have started solo careers, Sarah has become an actress and Nicola has launched a make-up range.

She told Metro: “We signed up for three albums before we took the break. We always have to take it up a level and bring out new and exciting stuff. The things we’ll be singing about will be quite different this time around.”

Girls Alone
January 31, 2010     Posted in: Cheryl Cole, Girls Aloud, Kimberley Walsh     By: Kirsty     Comments (0)

Girls Aloud took 2009 off to pursue solo projects but, as the first month of 2010 nears an end, they still don’t seem any nearer to getting back into the studio. What have they all been up to?

Who’s this smart young lady speaking on January 13 at the launch of a private member’s bill to ban sunbed use by under-18s?

Why, it’s Nicola Roberts of course. Not only that, the pale-skinned Girls Aloud singer will be presenting a documentary on BBC3 later this month on the dangers of excessive tanning.

Since Girls Aloud declared themselves on hiatus at the beginning of last year, they’ve all pursued solo projects of one kind or another.

No doubt about it, Cheryl’s got the magic touch as an X Factor judge. She’s now completed two series and mentored the eventual winner on both. She is reportedly close to signing a £1.5million deal which will see her leave the show after the next series. According to the Daily Mail, she’s keen to start a family with husband Ashley.

We all knew Cheryl’s solo music career would be a success but nobody banked on her getting to number one in the album charts with 3 Words and top of the singles chart with Fight For This Love at the same time. Mind you, follow-up single 3 Words didn’t fare quite so well, possibly because she didn’t get to perform it on X Factor.

Cheryl has become somewhat of a fashion icon in the last couple of years. She featured on the front cover of the February issue of British Vogue, the November issue of Elle and was also voted the Best Dressed Celebrity by Glamour magazine. As if that wasn’t enough, she also landed a £500,000 contract with L’Oreal Paris, following in the footsteps of Beyonce and Jennifer Aniston. Things have certainly improved for the star who used to wear tracksuit bottoms and see-through tops!
